MILO

Mechatronics Intelligent Loveable Organism

CoroWare received an early version of the MILO robot on loan from RoboDynamics in 2005.  MILO was equipped with a mobile base, on-board mini-ITX computer, a series of sonar and infrared sensors, bump sensors, and a color camera with microphone.  For human interaction, the robot was also equipped with a pair of programmable 8x8 LED array eyes, an articulated neck, and speakers.  MILO captivated many attendees of the 2005 MEDC conference in Las Vegas.  Pictured below are Kevin Sikorski of CoroWare and MILO of RoboDynamics wearing custom foam shoulders and a stylish conference T-shirt.
